Hello and welcome to Katie’s Culture Tour — a joyful, educational space where children can explore the world through the eyes (and paws!) of one very special dachshund.

But first, let me introduce myself. I’m Jane, an Early Childhood Educator with a deep passion for creating learning experiences that are fun, inclusive, and meaningful for young children. With years of teaching under my belt, I’ve always looked for new ways to spark curiosity and help children connect with the world around them. And that’s where Katie Sausage comes in.

Yes — Katie Sausage is very real! She’s our beloved family dachshund and a proud rescue dog. Her early life was tough, but now, at 11 years old, Katie is living her best life. She enjoys love, naps, and plenty of belly rubs. Katie is the queen of our home — full of personality, sass, and an adventurous spirit that inspires everything you see on this site.

Katie isn’t just our pet — she’s the heart and soul of this project. Her story of resilience, joy, and curiosity became the perfect foundation for a new idea: what if children could travel the world and learn about different cultures alongside Katie?

Why I Created Katie’s Culture Tour ✈️📚

As a teacher, I’ve often found it challenging to combine cultural education, storytelling, and engaging resources. I wanted to create a platform where teachers, parents, and homeschoolers could easily find fun, free content. This would help kids learn about the world in an age-appropriate and inspiring way.
